ALL the Game Grumps need to do is put the game title in the description, and ALL accusations of clickbait goes away. I specifically called out the 'drinking milk from the cow' episode as me nearly giving up, and I've been watching since Year One. Twenty-three days ago, I posted my extensive rant about the titles and thumbnails. We will be updating the rules shortly to reflect these new policies, as well as possibly remove a few outdated ones, and hope that it helps make the sub a better place for every lovely.įor those here to vent: let's fucking GOOOOOOOOOO Game Grumps is not affiliated with this sub, and they will not read your comments here - no one wants to come to this sub to read vitriol. Which leads me to my final point: if the venting starts to steer away from the titles and thumbnails themselves and directly insult Dan, Arin, other fans, or any GG staff, your comment will be removed.

We will be removing any posts made about the titles and thumbnails going forward, including memes, and direct the OP to this thread.įeel free to comment here as many times as you like, say what you'd like to say (within reason), and try to avoid letting the comment karma bother you - this is simply a place to vent, and find community amongst other lovelies that feel the same way. This post, which will be stickied, will also be the only place that anyone can come and talk about the titles and thumbnails, to avoid the sub being cluttered with consistent negativity. We don't want to dissuade people from talking about this entirely, because they ARE valid feelings to have, but we also don't want to alienate those that come to the sub for more positive discussions about the show. That being said, this thread will now, going forward, become a hub for any lovely to come and vent about their feelings on the new titles and thumbnails.

It's valid to feel a little upset about it after having it be more easily digestible for so long! We've had a lot of people comment on episode threads or make their own posts expressing their mild (or major) disdain for the new titles and thumbnails, and honestly, some of us mods don't disagree with them! However, as an unofficial sub with over 245,000 members and counting, we do try to maintain this space as one where any lovely can feel comfortable, safe, and enjoy discussing the show with others. While we have no official confirmation of why they do this, some of the fans suspect it's to help appease the YouTube algorithm and try to boost views and engagements, and some people feel it's been hurting longtime fans by making it harder to recognize what an upload is or what game they're playing. Over the past couple of years, Game Grumps has been moving away from using their stylized, recognizable thumbnails, as well as removing the game and part names from the titles of their videos.
